We could really use some options from our guard play

This might be the weakest Kentucky team Cal has had during his ten years at UK. They are very challenged on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. I thought Herro was going to be our three point shooting specialist, he has not scored thus far tonight. Poor defensive, poor offensive, poor fundamental basketball team right now.

We are out rebounding them 36 to 13, should be twenty points ahead with that rebounding disparity. Just no offensive execution and far too many turnovers.

Quickley appears to be our best guard option right now. He is our leading scorer with 15 pts with 9 minutes to go in the game and us with a 5 point lead. I am suprised that Herro has not scored in this game.

I liked the Quickly/Green combo, Herro will come along. It's early

RIGht now it sounds as though Baker may not be on the team the rest of the year

KY had 4 players in double figures.

JOhnson and Quickly had 15 each.

Green had 14 points while Montgomery had 10 points!

The stat of the night was Richards 19 boards.

On the downside 4-14 (28%) from the 3 point line isn't going to hack it in conference play.

I don't know if the bright lights have made Herro nervous or what's going on there!

I was really excited about this team after the first 3 games against the "pro" teams. Not so much now. I'm not much of an x and o type of fan so I really don't have a clue what's wrong. I do know that they're not that much fun for me to watch.

Herro is starting to look like a zero. He and Hagans are basically invisible when they're in the game.

Didn't Quickly win the McDonalds 3-point contest? He shot pretty darn well last night - maybe he is our best shooter and should be used as so.

Green makes we want to pull my hair out. He should be the farthest along, yet there are too many times when he looks like a true freshman. He does have spurts where he looks really good, but those freshman-like moments should occur less often than they do.

Baker might as well just quit. I'm thinking Cal owed someone a favor and that's why Baker has a scholarship.

I personally think our talent on this team is vastly overrated. I don't consider us a top 25 team right now, much less the number two team in the country. We have a long way to go to be a good team and there seems to be only one way to go and that is up. PJ Washington is basically a no show for someone who has played as much basketball as he has. I also think Reid is not the kind of player Cal needs in his system. He is very limited in what he can do, take him away from the basket and he is lost. No one on this team seems to know very much about playing defense and they might be the worst passing, ball handling team Cal has had at UK, remind me a wee bit of that 2013 team. I do not see final four talent on our roster as of right now

I think Cal taking them to the Bahamas is not a good training ground for his team every four years. The talent they faced down there did nothing for their game but give them over confidence. They basically played against some pro players that were really not very organized teams.

There are times when I just think Cal micro manages everything instead of letting the players do the things that they are good at. I just think it's odd to have top 25 recruits and struggle with the small schools. Duke, Kansas doesn't perform that that. Coach K just stares at the court and just watches his players go.
