If any of our posters don't know, the Cats left today for their Bahamas games. They will be on TV Wednesday night at 7 pm, Thursday night at 7PM, Saturday night at 7pm and Sunday afternoon at 4PM. All games will be carried live by the SEC network. The team left today for the Bahamas and will have an open practice tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to see this years version of our Cats myself, am ready for some basketball.

Just heard that today! Do you know who our competition is?

Handy, Wednesday they play the Bahamas National Team, Thursday they play San Lorenzo De Almagro, On Saturday they play Mega Bemax and Sunday they play Team Toronto. I know nothing about the level of competetion they will be facing but Cal has said he expects he may lose a couple of games on this trip. I doubt that though.

Thanks SCWC. Of course I know nothing about these teams as I've never heard of any of them.

The Thursday game is against a professional team from Argentina, Mega Remax is a professional team playing in Serbia.

Wasn't Cal socializing and cutting up the last time they went to the Bahamas and he let his assistants coach the team?

A link about the Bahama National team.

Who knows how good the competition will be, but will be interesting to see them play.

I am interested in seeing Hagans play the point and if Barker is as good at shooting the 3 as they have talked about.

Baker probably won't play due to still having an injury. That was the last time I heard about him.

If Baker isn't well by now, he may never play a game for UK. He has already missed a whole year and if he is not rehabbed by now, he may never play basketball.

I have been PUMPED UP about this season getting started, but lately i've heard reports that EJ Montgomery is a little behind and that Nick Richards looks like he'll be a junior at UK. Man if these reports are true, Reid Travis better be ready for 38 minutes a game!

Looks like Brad may slide into Baker's slot as the num 10 guy!!

From KSR:

quote:

If you were planning on seeing Jemarl Baker in the Bahamas, it’s time to change those plans. John Calipari revealed last week the second-year shooting guard had not practiced in four or five days. After missing last year to undergo knee surgery, knee swelling kept him out of practice last week and made his status for the Bahamas uncertain. When the Cats took the court for practice yesterday at the Atlantis Resort, Baker was not in action. Calipari usually does not play those who cannot practice. There is an outside shot that we get to see Baker in a Kentucky uniform, (after all, outside shooting is his strength) but don’t get your hopes up.

I can't wait to watch Keldon Johnson play for the Cats. That kid is a leader and a warrior.
