From KSR:

Wenyen Gabriel is declaring for the NBA Draft, but will not sign with an agent at this time, leaving the door open to return to Kentucky for his junior season. “My dream has always been to play professionally,” Gabriel said. “After talking with Coach Cal and the staff, they believe it’s in my best interest to see where I stand in the eyes of the NBA. I’m confident I can play at the next level, but I want to be absolutely certain that this is the right decision for me at this time. I know that I have the opportunity to return to school and that I will have the full support of the coaching staff and the Big Blue Nation. No matter what happens, I love this university and all the opportunities it’s been able to provide me.”

I hope he stays and really believe it would be in his best interest. I really like him as a college player and a person.

We need his leadership if we hope to contend for #9

Him and Washington are the kind of guys that we can't lose if we are ever going to be able to get #9. We have to have some quality players, or late bloomers, that stay around a couple or few years. Need to have that experience to go along with some great young talent. Sure hope both of them are back.

I doubt he will get drafted this time around. He is not hiring an agent. I think he will be back. Appears he wants feedback to see where he lands.

Can't blame him if he goes, but if he is not a first rounder, it could be a big risk for him.

You can bet he is getting solid advice from Cal.
