I thought we did pretty good when we had both Bam and Humpries in the game. He will be a good center for us!

His upside really looks good and could be getting more minutes next season if he continues to improve his game.

I think both Humphries and Jones are capable of playing high-quality basketball. Sad they never got the chance to show it.

Humphries was actually taking most of the Willis minutes after Willis got that third foul on him. We actually built that 64 to 59 lead with just over 5 minutes to go before Cal brought Willis back and took Humphries out of the game never to return.

If humphries stays in the game we win. It was a good matchup for humphries, and havin g he and bam in was working. I have no idea why Cal pulled hm and never put him back in. You stick with the hot hand and what is working. If Cal just leaves him in we are in the final four. Just don't understand why Cal took him out after he was on fire, and playing so well. It makes no sense.

Cal was asked that question too (along with why he didn't call the timeout at the end). He said he knew that Humphries was playing well, but he had "a feeling" that Willis might come in and hit a dagger '3'.

Oh well, it was a good thought. I suspect Cal is right with his gut instincts more often than he is wrong. Humpries may or may not have made the difference -- Monk was able to pull out the 'killer 3s' on his own.

I completely disagree with the statement "Humphries stays in the game we win". You can't possibly know that. I was waiting for Willis to come back in as I think at this stage of their careers he is the better player. You look at every loss as an opportunity to attack Cal's coaching ability.

Everytime a coach makes a move he is only guessing. Most times he probability of his hunch being correct is pretty good. It's those hunches that backfire that brings on the second guessing. This is a proverb from some where in netherland. [Big Grin]
