I have enjoyed this team, am certainly going to miss Fox, he is one tremendous point guard. Without a reliable 4 man, Cal did a great coaching job. Not a bad season at 32 and 6.

I thought this season would be a success if we made it to the sweet 16. Glad to make it to the elite 8, and really glad to see Hawkins play so well, and Humphries come up huge. Just wish his efforts could have resulted in a win. Just don't understand why Cal took Humphries out when he did. That really was the turning point. I felt Humphries was a good match up with their bigs. I always hate when the season comes to an end. Especially to a school that should be on probation.

Tough, tough loss. We looked shaky all game, and our stars were pretty much stifled. If it weren't for Hawkins and Humpries, we would have been routed.

Great defense by UNC -- but they were certainly helped by a LOT of non-calls when they hacked or bumped our guys. This loss tastes especially bitter because of the refereeing.

I really think we were the better team tonight. We got lost the last seven seconds and left Maye wide open. I think we would've taken them in OT.

Sorry SCWC, just posted something very similar to your post. Great minds think alike I suppose

I think we would've won in OT. When may put up that shot, I new it was going in. That dude can shoot.

Good Handy, I posted my views on yours too. Great perspective of this group of young men. UNC looked like older men, our team looked like young kids.

Calipari said on the radio interview that he was threatened with a technical when he complained about the officiating. He said he never had to put all of his players on the bench like that before.

I just never really got "into" this team, not until postseason play. I thought we had really come together and could have made a run for the title...after seeing our guys gel in the SEC tourney. Monk going cold really put a nail in our coffin, and the 2 fouls on Fox (whether you agree with the calls or not...) in the first half sure didn't help matters.

Very proud of Humphries though. The kid knew we needed contributions from every person that hit the floor, and boy did he help. Scoring, rebounds, altering shots...where had that been all season?

At any rate, I'm sure going to miss Fox. That kid was lightning in a bottle. Monk will be missed too, purely for his offense. Will be interesting to see who goes and who stays besides those 2 guys.

Besides Monk not scoring like he did early in the season did you notice that Fox did not drive the lane to try picking up fouls. He couldn't do it with their defense so that killed us. Once Monk got all thos points in December most of the teams started staying in his face so he couldn't get many shots off. Bam completely desinegrated in the tourney. He couldn't hold onto the ball the last couple of games and he lost whatever gain he had made in the draft standings. This draft is going to be interesting.
