Briscoe, a 6-foot-3 rising sophomore guard, was scheduled to work out for the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday and the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, his father George told The Courier-Journal on Monday. Last week, his father said Briscoe had already received positive feedback from "four or five" NBA team workouts, "but that doesn't mean you're a pro."

George Briscoe declined to say Monday which way his son is leaning or when the official decision might be announced.

It also appears that Lee is very much up in the air on whether to return or go pro, so we probably expect a final decision until Wednesday for both. It does appear Lee and his family are really struggling with whatever decision he's ultimately going to make.

Lee's older brother Bryan, who has spoken openly in the past about the family's thought process, has not returned phone calls or text messages since the combine. Prior to that, Lee seemed determined to stay in the draft; UK coach John Calipari even said as much.

Good news on Briscoe, he just announced he is returning to school however Lee has withdrawn his name from the draft but is transferring out west to be near his family. Two transfers within one season is unheard of in a Cal coached program. Lee probably saw the handwriting on the wall, he would probably see less playing time at UK next year than he saw this past season. It still would have been nice to have that experienced front line players for our young freshmen to feed off of.

I honestly don't think we'll miss Lee on the floor, but he was one hell of a citizen, from all I've read. Briscoe staying, on the other hand, is BIG. I know he is not a good outside shot, nor can he hit free throws, but all other aspects of his game are top notch. He will be invaluable to our beloved Wildcat basketball team.

Briscoe is one I figure will improve his shooting in his second year. If so I'm sure he will get plenty of PT. We should have a deep team if our two down under guys improve their game.
