I guess only time will tell but we sure look solid.

It may not be “more” so to speak since the Wildcats went 38-1 last season, but having a tighter rotation should help Kentucky's role allocation. Unlike a year where John Calipari's team boasted nine McDonald's All-Americans, next season's Kentucky squad should be more defined and concrete in terms of each player's respective roles. The Wildcats have three elite ball handlers on the perimeter in Tyler Ulis and freshmen Isaiah Briscoe and Jamal Murray -- a triumvirate that will be nearly impossible to take the ball from. Kentucky also has two lanky big men in Marcus Lee and freshman Skal Labissiere along with veteran forward Alex Poythress, who missed the majority of last season after he suffered a torn ACL in December. Those six will comprise the core of this team while veterans Dominique Hawkins and Derek Willis along with freshman Charles Matthews will be counted upon to provide intangibles off the bench. No one is expecting the Wildcats to do what they did last season, but the late addition of Murray gives Calipari what he's always had since he arrived in Lexington in 2009: a legitimate chance at a national title.
