You can bet everyone of the BBN appreciated KAT too! He was a special player both on and off the court and it will be fun following him in the NBA too.

Karl-Anthony Towns embraced everything about his freshman season at Kentucky and even though he soon could be the first or second pick in the NBA draft, he still enjoys talking about his time at UK.

“Every time we had a home game you shoulda saw my eyes. I was electric. I couldn’t wait to play," said Towns. "There’s nothing better, just playing in front of BBN.

"The electricity that comes off, the passion and just the excitement they bring to the games is unmatched by any college institution and possibly any professional team could bring. That’s the greatest thing.

"That’s why this place is so special. Not because of what this place can offer you, but what it brings and how passionate everyone is about this school.”

I would think that high school kids would look for these web sites to see what these 1 and dones are saying about their experience at UK. But I doubt if 2% of high school kids even know they should see the comments of kids leaving UK for the NBA. Most of them have the me mentality and are just looking at what they perceive as the most important factors, like being the star and putting up big numbers.

Hopefully our athletic department talks to these recruits about what to expect and what the University does to make their UK career a fulfilling experience. I think what KAT pointed out in his comments in the "Link" is something that should be saved and shown every potential recruit.

KAT has a great attitude to go along with his talent and barring any serious injury is going to have a long and great career in professional basketball.
