UK signee Skal Labissiere has been named the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2015 by Rivals.com, which posted its final rankings Wednesday.

Labissiere — a 7-footer from Haiti now living in the Memphis area — wowed scouts and recruiting analysts during the recent all-star circuit with his versatile and ever-evolving game. He signed with Kentucky in November.

He is John Calipari’s first No. 1 recruit in the Rivals.com rankings since John Wall signed with the Wildcats in 2009. Former UK players Anthony Davis, Nerlens Noel and Julius Randle were all ranked No. 2 in the final Rivals rankings in their respective classes.

UK’s other two signees for the class of 2015 also made the Rivals top 50: New Jersey point guard Isaiah Briscoe at No. 10 and Chicago shooting guard Charles Matthews at No. 48.

Calipari is targeting five more uncommitted players from the top 10: 3. Jaylen Brown, 4. Brandon Ingram, 5. Cheick Diallo, 8. Malik Newman and 9. Thon Maker.

Hopefully Skal will be better than pretty good which will be good for us and bad for our opponents.
