Upsetting the unanimous No. 1 team in the United Center would be quite a way to earn a 500th career victory, and that’s what Steve Alford hopes to accomplish tomorrow.

Problem is, that ain’t happening, Steve.

No, Steve will likely lose his second attempt at win No. 500 after losing to Gonzaga in his first shot last weekend. The Wildcats are looking to push that ceremony back at least another eight days, when UCLA travels to Alabama on December 28.

It’s not like he’s in a hurry to tally up more wins, either; Alford currently leads all coaches 50 and under in victories. So he’s got time.

19 points may be a low number if the Cats play up to their abilities.

I can't disagree. Vegas opened at 15 points and it quickly was bet up to 16 points!

To be honest the main thing is to win the rest is just for bragging rights.

If we play like we are capable of the game will be over early. UCLA just don't have the horses to play with us.

I just heard a split on our CBS announcers. One says KY will struggle with a scoring team like UCLA! I guess we're about to find out!
