In the Battle for Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas Butler beat 5th ranked UNC 74 to 66. Great spectator game, Butler just out hustled, out rebounded and took it to a very good UNC team. Next up Oklahoma vs UCLA. Good field in this tournament.

Makes them the best team in Indiana.

UNC lost the game from the free throw line, making only 18 of 32 and on the backboard where Butler out rebounded them by 17, 57 to 40. The rebounding margin is what shocked me the most.

If you just looked at those stats it looks line Butler won by 20 especially when you throw in UCLA's 3 point shooting stat of 4-16!

And Paige made 2 of those 4 three point shots in the last two minutes to get it from a double digit Butler lead down to where UNC almost caught up. Butler got 17 offensive rebounds against UNC, something that not too many teams can do because of their size.

UCLA and Oklahoma are pretty much neck and neck right now.

Oklahoma wins by 10. We really could go undefeated!

I know. I wanted to pick 0 losses but I decided to pick us 30-1 because it's hard to win them all. Now I'm rethinking that and wondering if I should have picked us 31-0.

I'm with you Bama. There has to be a throw away game somewhere!

Florida lost to Georgetown over night as well.

Florida is not the team it was years past.

UNC has not had a good start on and off the floor.

Doesn't Florida still have a couple of starters out?

Florida is pretty much decimated with injuries. In last nights game they started a walk on and a so-so transfer who has played very little. this is not going to be one of their better years but Donovan will make the best of it and will get better by seasons end. He is a good coach as we all know.

There's no doubt in my mind that Billy D will turn this season around.

I think Billy has his work cut out for him and his talent level is not near as good as former years.

Yeah, this isn't one of his strongest teams. I'm not sure he'll have as rough a season this year as we did 2 years ago though!

It's true with the SEC being down this year but I think Florida will lose some game too. I think the Hogs may be right up there this season.

This is really one of the least competitive SEC years in a number of years.

I have already made that suggestion. I think it will be UK then a group of 4-5 teams behind us, and then all the rest. We ma be luck to get 3 teams in the NCAA. Unless the rest of the country ends up just as bad. There may only be 8-10 teams good enough to challenge for the top seeds.
