First time since 1995-96 that this has happened.

The University of Kentucky men's basketball team was a unanimous choice to win the 2014-15 Southeastern Conference championship in a vote of media who cover the league.

This season's Wildcats are the first SEC team to sweep all of the first-place votes since the 1995-96 UK team that went on to win the national championship.

The media also voted Kentucky sophomore shooting guard Aaron Harrison as the preseason SEC Player of the Year.

Harrison was one of five Wildcats who received player of the year votes, joining Willie Cauley-Stein, Andrew Harrison, Alex Poythress and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Aaron Harrison was the only Wildcat named to the All-SEC first team.

Cauley-Stein, Poythress, Towns and Andrew Harrison made the second team.

Kentucky received all 20 first-place votes and 280 total points in the team selections. Florida, with 258 points, was predicted to be league runner-up.
