That is an amazing stat and one of the reasons this team is sooooo special.

I would doubt if Kentucky ever has had a team with six or seven players that were so close in scoring per minute as this team. It's scary how these numbers came out.

That isn't point-per-minute, it is the inverse: How many minutes it takes for that player to score a point.

In other words, a lower number is better in this statistic.

But, the point still stands. This is an outstandingly efficient defensive squad (fifth best in the nation at limiting opposing points-per-possession, if I recall), and an equally efficient offensive team (third best nationally in points-scored-per-possession). Most importantly, the 'spread' between points-scored-per-possession and points-allowed-per-possession is the best in the land. We score .27 points more per possession than we allow. Now you know why other teams strive to limit the number of possessions!
