Cats dropped their first loss of the season to Illinois in the Virgin Island Holiday classic.
They return to action tomorrow to face Oklahoma at 6 pm tomorrow

It was a close game most of the way with the Ladycats down by 1 point at the half 34-33.

What hurt us was we went o-6 from the 3 point line and only shot 63% from the line.

Bishop went 6-7 on here f/g attempts but then goes 1-6 from the line.

Bria Goss fouling out in 18 minutes of playing time without a basket tells it all and surprised we didn't lose by more.

These girls are pretty tough. This tourney will toughen them up quite a bit for the tough SEC conf.

We did however cut the lead to 68-65 with a couple minutes to play but that was as close as we could get.

Illinois hit 53.2 percent from the field for the game and that has not happened since South Carolina (52.6 percent) on Feb. 20, 2014 to shoot over 50 percent against the Cats.

Jennifer O'Neil had her 51st-career double-digit game, and fifth this season. She is playing great basketball for the Lady Cats.
