I am done with this team. This season has been a complete underachievement. There better be some changes made in the off season with the coordinators and O line coach. Georgia will beat us by 40 and if they want run for 350 yards on us, and have 8 sacks or more. Just a very sad performance this season. Can't really think of one game where we actually played a complete game on both sides of the ball.

Of course, I'll end up watching next week in hopes of some shocking performance.

Scangerello has to go. Offensive line coach too. Inexcusable offensive ineptitude.

I’m disappointed but I’ll cheer them on to the bitter end.
After all, this is Kentucky football and it’s not for the weak of heart.
Early I thought they were an excellent team, then a good team and finally, average at best and that might be a stretch.
I’m going down next year and try out for the O line. I’ve got the weight but speed and quickness could be an issue. [ 11-12-2022, 04:28 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

I came on here to say that we've got the worst o-line in football, but it seems you guys already made the point.

Why did coach Stoops let our sorry offensive coordinator change our blocking scheme? This feels like Joker Phillips days. I bet we lose our big freshman nose guard to the transfer portal.

Coach Stoops thinks we're a football school. Yeah right.

I'm afraid Stoops has made it to the top of his mountain last year. From here it's all down hill back to the days of yore. I never thought a thing about the football team until I started working the games 8 years ago. So by not working them anymore it's easy for me to forget them and just watch the basketball team. I used to be a big fan of OSU a long time ago when Woody Hayes was there, until his big skirmish with an opposing player on the field.

I know it’s easy to get down on Stoops and I understand the disappointment. This is not the year I had hoped for but as I keep saying, this is Kentucky football. If this ever changes, it’s going to take a long time. Stoops has far exceeded my my expectations. He has earned my loyalty for at least a couple more years.
Remember all those years where we didn’t even get a smell of any kind of bowl.
You’re right rlt4uk, we’re a basketball school and always will be. At least in my lifetime.

Does anyone else agree that the 4th-down conversion by Vandy in the last minute of the game was offensive pass interference? The received grabbed our defender by the jersey and pulled him out of the way. I don't know how the ref missed that. As terrible as we played, that missed call inevitably doomed us.

I actually thought that the ref was going to call offensive pass interference.

I believe it was that same play that I saw one of our linemen being held in the backfield and I was yelling at no one in the house about it. It was obvious to me. So the play should have been called back anyway.

Bamacat, that holding that you're talking about was on forth down. We should have gotten the ball and ran the clock out.

You.re probably right. They had the camera in the backfield until he threw the ball and it was easy to see.

It never even should have come to a pass interference or not. We have the team to beat Vandy by at least 2 touchdowns. I think Stoops has done well at UK and can't argue with the success he has brought to the football program. But he needs to fire the OC and the O- Line coach as soon as the season is over. We have gotten worse every game under those guys.

Paul Findbaum said yesterday that he thinks coach Stoops has done all that he can at Kentucky, and if he got a offer from another school he'd probably leave.
