1.) Edge Rusher
One of the biggest recruiting wins for the program was when top-200 edge prospect Keaten Wade pledged to the Wildcats out of Metro Nashville. The 6-foot-4, 223-pound hybrid player looked the part at a camp workout in Lexington and could have the tools to play as a true freshman. However, Kentucky needs another body.

Last year, the Wildcats finished 113th nationally in sack rate as the edge position struggled to create consistent pressure. Bodies are needed to contribute. Four-star Tyreese Fearbry took an official visit to Lexington, but it could be hard to get the prospect out of Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, three-star Keon Wylie is visiting Kentucky this weekend and the Wildcats need to make a big splash.

2.) Speed at Wide Receiver
Lexington (Ky.) Frederick Douglass wideout Dane Key is the unquestioned No. 1 overall target on Kentucky’s recruiting board. The legacy recruit and blue-chip prospect is a big fish that Mark Stoops and his staff need to land. He can help solve some issues at outside receiver, but the Wildcats also need to address speed regardless of what Key decides.

Offensive coordinator Liam Coen will need more burners to stretch the field, and that is what Kentucky is looking for. High three-star Kobi Albert out of Metro Birmingham has super impressive tape and has the top-end speed to go along with some short-area juice. Unranked Cincinnati Moeller wide receiver Brandon White earned an offer after a camp at Kentucky, and West Virginia followed with their own offer on Tuesday night.

3.) Offensive tackle depth
The Big Blue Wall brand is as strong as ever. With some draft picks in the last two NFL Drafts and a returning preseason All-American, new offensive line coach Eric Wolford has a lot to sell to recruits. This summer has proved that a lot of high-quality players are interested.

Kentucky had a ton of quality underclassmen on campus for camps this month with a few big official visits. Aamil Wagner, Ryan Baer, and Daughtry Richardson have all made trips to Lexington in recent weeks. Drew Bobo and Grayson Morgan are scheduled to take officials this weekend.

The Wildcats likely need to get commitments from two of the five to address the future roster at tackle. Kentucky has a chance to sign the best offensive line class in program history, and the work done in June will likely be a big reason why. There is a scenario where Kentucky could have to turn down a really good offensive lineman or two.
