We lose one but gain one.
Kentucky lost a three-star cornerback Sunday but added a three-star defensive tackle from Ohio Sunday.
Jeremiah Dinson, who had more than 15 scholarship offers, had been committed to UK since September but the Florida cornerback posted on Twitter Sunday that he was “officially decommitting” from Kentucky. “Much love to the whole Kentucky coaching staff. Appreciate the opportunity,” Dinson posted on Twitter.
He made an official visit to Auburn over the weekend. He has also visited Florida and may visit Louisville.
He is ranked among the nation’s top 125 cornerbacks.
Kentucky had recently made a scholarship offer to his younger brother, Joshua, a sophomore.
Of course, last week Florida cornerback Chris Westry went from an Auburn commitment to verbally committing to UK after an official visit. He had offers from Florida, Arkansas and others and is ranked among the nation’s top 100 cornerbacks.
Javon Provitt, a 305-pound defensive tackle, had narrowed his college choices to UK, Pittsburgh and Maryland. He made his commitment to UK Sunday. He’s the eighth Ohio committment in UK’s 2015 recruiting class that now has 18 commitment.s
