Vince Marrow joined KSR this morning to talk about his decision to turn down Michigan and stick with Mark Stoop sand the Kentucky football program. I’ve already shared a lot of Vince’s comments about the fans with you, but he also said Mitch Barnhart played a huge role in his decision to come back as well, telling Matt that Mitch “never even blinked” during negotiations.
“Mitch Barnhart really played a big part in this too. He never even blinked. He was never going to let me go nowhere,” Vince said. “He’s really, really behind this football program. You know, I hear a lot of people say things sometimes about Mitch, but l can tell you this. Whether I left or stayed, it wasn’t gonna be because of that. He did everything he had to do to make sure I think any coach or anyone stays here.”
Vince will speak with the media here in a little bit, but until then, enjoy all of his comments in the video above.
