A bit of unfortunate news from Mark Stoops: in addition to ankle surgery, Ryan Timmons also had shoulder surgery after the season, which Stoops anticipates will keep him out of spring practice.
“No, I don’t think he’ll be good to go for spring,” Stoops said. “Ryan was playing very banged up and I appreciate his effort. And we all know there are things he can do better and he will do better, but he really competed all year through some major injuries.”
That may explain the drops.

Getting a shoulder injury solid before the actually season starts is VERY Important.
He can still run the routes go through skull sessions and learn the schemes if there are any new tweeks to the offense without going through contact!

All I can think about is all the pain he must have had the last few games of the season. He is a gutsy kid for sure.

Ryan was the first in state player that Stoops signed and he had offers from Florida and Ohio State.

HE won't have to sit out of conditioning either. He should be fine come Fall!

I hope he has a good future with Kentucky as it sounds like he has had a tough season with injuries. He has to be a good one with the offers he received.

Timmons has a lot of upside. Hopefully our QB's will be able to find our receivers a little more next year. The Line has to give them a little more time!

It also wouldn't hurt if we had a couple more receivers who could catch the ball and do something after the catch.

Here is another article on his surgeries.
Receiver Ryan Timmons should be good to go for spring practice despite already having ankle surgery and then shoulder surgery since the season ended.
“He had his ankle done first, and then he had to have his shoulder. We don’t sit there and make excuses, but Ryan was playing very banged up, and I appreciate his effort. We all know there’s things that he can do better and will do better, but he really competed all year through some pretty major injuries, so I appreciate his effort,” UK coach Mark Stoops said.
Stoops also revealed Monday that cornerback Fred Tiller, defensive lineman Reggie Meant and receiver Charles Walker all had shoulder surgeries and would miss spring practice.
He said freshman safety Mike Edwards, who did not practice during the season because of an injury, will be “good to go” but he’s not sure if he’ll practice in the spring or not.
“But he’s in our program. He’s working, and he had a good semester academically, and he’ll be good to go. Let me get some more information on spring,” Stoops said.
He also said there had not been any players to confirm with him that they planned to transfer.

It's also a good sign like the article points out there is no one planning on transferring.

Keeping everyone in the program and on the same page goes a long way in improving the different corps.

Competition is how they get better and the more talented recruits we get the better the team will get.
