Hopefully Demarco will go on to the NFL and have a long and prosperous career.
Demarco Robinson hopes younger teammates watched — and learned — from his off-field struggles.
“Sometimes they joke and call me grandpa. I feel like it at times, too. But I also feel I have a lot to offer the younger guys,” Robinson said. “Anything I can do to help them, I will. Whether it is decisions about life or something on the field, I am always open with them and tell them what I know and sometimes had to learn the hard way.”
Robinson, who still stops by to see Barnhart at times to thank him for his advice/help, wishes he could play another year at UK.
“I can really see now that I am older and more mature what I should be doing and doing what people tell me to do. It’s frustrating to see young guys not doing it right and see the potential they have. But I can feel the change in the culture here,” Robinson said. “I see success coming. It is going to be special here. We are not going to accept losing any more. It is going up from here even if we have lost these games recently.
“I am proud to have been part of this rebuilding with coach Stoops. No matter what happens Saturday, I feel like the seniors on the team have had a lot to do with getting this going the right way and changing Kentucky football to where it should be.”
Yet Robinson agrees with Stoops and says despite his improved play this year, he remains most proud of what he’s done off the field to change his life.

Talent is the name of the game and to win in the SEC you better have a lot of it.

Depth is a huge must to compete in this league.

I would be surprised to see him make an NFL roster. I can't figure out why he is the punt returner. Not saying he isn't a good quality college receiver. Just don't see him making the jump to the NFL.

I AGREE WITH BOOM HERE, AND MH IT TAKES GOOD QUALITY DEPTH TO COMPETE IN SEC, THATS WHY KY WILL WIN 4 TO 5 GAMES A YEAR IMO.
