Topic: Defense was a big part of today's victory

If we play defense like we did today we are going to have a great season.
Kentucky now has four defensive touchdowns this year, including Dupree’s game-wining interception return against South Carolina a week earlier. The last time UK had four defensive touchdowns in a season was 2008 — and the Cats have six games to go.
“That is good and were big in both games,” Stoops said. “They came at the right time. It’s nice to see us have the ability to make big plays on both sides.”
— Kentucky has nine interceptions this season after having only three interceptions all of last season. The Cats are now second in the SEC in interceptions.
This was the kind of defensive numbers/performance that Stoops had when he was defensive coordinator at Florida State. No, this was not a Southeastern Conference foe, but it was a game where UK had to have the defense play well and it did once it adjusted to what the Warhawks were doing.
Still, the interception total was not expected — even by Stoops.
“No, I don’t think I would have believed that,” Stoops said when asked about being second in the SEC in interceptions. “Got to be honest there. I would be lying if told you that (I believed that).”
However, there’s a lot about this team not everyone would have believed.
“I think we are making believers out of people, but that stops if you don’t keep winning,” Forrest said. “We know that, so we just plan to keep on winning.”

Our defense is top 20 in the nation in four different categories. I know interceptions for touchdowns is one of those 4 categories! Turnovers is another! Sacks is probably another one as well!

Interception yards and total interceptions are categories we in the top 5.
