YAHTZEE strikes again for the third time this weekend. Reports are coming out from 247 Sports and Josh Edwards that 2016 Athlete/Wide Receiver Zy’Aire Hughes has committed to Kentucky. Hughes is from McCracken County and committed after his high school team competed in 7 v. 7 today at UK.

Hughes was one of Kentucky’s big in-state targets in a loaded 2016 class for the state of Kentucky. Hughes is an impressive prospect who has drawn rave reviews for his immense athleticism. Hughes held offers from Purdue and Western Kentucky, and was also receiving interest from Louisville and Tennessee.

Keep the dice rolling, Stoops.

Per the attached article it was a verbal commitment.

McCracken County junior athlete Zy’Aire Hughes verbally committed to Kentucky while attending camp with his teammates Saturday.

He joins Lafayette junior offensive lineman Landon Young as commits in the 2016 recruiting class.

The 6-1, 185-pound Hughes plays quarterback and has thrown for 2,446 yards and 23 touchowns and ran for 634 yards and 16 scores , but he is projected as a receiver or defensive back in college.

Hughes is part of what many consider the best recruiting class in Kentucky in years. It also includes highly ranked Woodford County offensive lineman Drake Jackson, Ashland running back Quinton Baker (his father, Al, played at UK) and Male reciever Keion Wakefield. All three also attended UK’s camp this weekend.
