Kentucky has been looking for another piece to add to its front court, and now the Cats are in the running for another solid option. DeAndre Williams, a rising junior currently in the transfer portal, has cut his list of new schools to four, and the Wildcats made the list. His coach, Kenneth Roy, says Williams will choose between Kentucky, Memphis, Arkansas and Baylor, according to Rivals recruiting expert Corey Evans. Meanwhile, recruiting analyst Jake Weingarten is reporting John Calipari and Kentucky’s staff have been “heavily involved” with recruiting Williams.

The 6-foot-9 forward played at Evansville under former Cat Walter McCarty last season, where he averaged 15.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and one block per game as a sophomore. Ultimately, he only played 18 games for the Purple Aces, as a back injury sidelined him for several weeks. He sat out for 14 of the team’s final 17 games, and Evansville went winless (0-14) without him on the court.
