While the Kentucky Wildcats are still working on completing their 2020 recruiting class, it appears they’re already in tremendous shape with one recruit for 2021.
Jack Pilgrim of KSR reports that five-star forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield will likely end up a Wildcat.
“He’s a lock,” a source told Pilgrim, “Kentucky. Done deal.”
Huntley-Hatfield is a five-star power forward from Clarksville, Tennessee, but his playing his high school basketball at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Currently, he is a member of the 2022 recruiting class, but Pilgrim reports that he feels as if Huntley-Hatfield will reclassify to the class of 2021.
“After some conversations in recent weeks, I not only think Huntley-Hatfield will make the jump to 2021, but that he will also make ultimately commit to Kentucky when it comes time for a decision,” Pilgrim wrote.
Huntley-Hatfield is related to former Wildcat Alex Poythress and appears to be ready to follow in his cousins’ footsteps.
