Green spoke to Jacob Polacheck of ZAGSBLOG while he was there about his recruitment, what he is looking for in a school, and his upcoming plans for visits.
Green is the No. 2 player in the 2020 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He has yet to announce an official list, but he has already made a couple of visits and has a few more in the works.
Green has already been to Memphis and Florida State, and he told Polacheck that he also plans to visit Arizona, Oregon, and Kentucky. He also discussed what he is really looking for in a school.
“I want a coach that is going to keep it real with me,” Green said. “I might want to go back and finish school. I want to be able to handle the ball and take a leader role.”
If that does not sound just like John Calipari, I do not know what does. Calipari is known for his “it’s not for everybody” message in recruiting, and with a lifetime scholarship at UK Green could finish school whenever he wanted.
“It’s Kentucky,” Green said when asked about his thoughts on playing in Lexington. “Tyrese Maxey is there. They have coach Cal.”
