With only five games this month, that has left more time for the Kentucky staff to hit the recruiting trail and the Wildcats have taken full advantage.
After head coach John Calipari and assistant Tony Barbee traveled to Brooklyn to watch UK commit Kahlil Whitney Monday, Calipari and UK assistant Joel Justus were at it again Tuesday, traveling to Rochester, Minn. to check out 5-star forward and top Kentucky target Matthew Hurt.
Fresh off scoring a single-game school record 55 points on Friday, Hurt scored 13 of his team's first 17 points and finished with 39 points and seven rebounds in a 70-59 loss to Austin.

I know it's a stretch, but if UK could get Hurt and McDaniels to sign on the dotted line we would have a very, very good class. We ay not get either one but right now I am starting to get some weak vibes on both of them. I think these are the two most likely that we have any chance with. If we continue to play like we did against UNC we may have a chance.
