Because of work I was forced to get the covid vaccine this past Friday. This has been one of the worst weekends of my life. My arm hurt so bad, I've had a high fever, I've shook uncontrollably, it's been like the flu on steroids, and this was just the first shot.

Have any of you had any bad reactions to the vaccine?

First 2 shots last March, sore shoulder not even worth mentioning.

I got the booster a couple weeks ago, along with a flu shot. I took both in the same arm, a little soreness at bedtime but gone by morning.

I know 2 others who had reactions like you did rlt, but a dozen or so with minimal side effects. Guess it depends on the person.

My wife and I had the 2 series Pfizer vaccine and the booster and had only very minimal soreness in the injection site.

Wife and I have had both shots and boosters. Pfizer for her, Moderna for me. Sore shoulders for both of us . I did feel a little putrid the day after my booster but was really not a big deal.

Everyone that I’ve heard of that have had severe side effects were closet Duke fans.

Handy I assure you that's not the case. Made me laugh though.

I had the two Pfizer shots as well as the booster. I missed worked the next day after all three shots. My side effects were simply major body aches (mainly in the hips and legs) and sever fatigue - no fever or any flu-like symptoms. Felt like I had run a marathon! After my second shot I didn't get out of bed until 5:00 pm the next day I was so tired.

My arm hurt for two weeks after the first shot but nothing after the second and third.

No closet Duke fan here. Sorry to hear that PaulCat has divided loyalties. [Smile]

I had very mild soreness for both shots (Pfizer), but have not had the booster. Might not get it.

I am in NYC this weekend, visiting friends. To enter any restaurant or bar, you have to show your vaccine card and ID. It feels a lot like "papers, please" in the old Soviet Union...

Millie and I both had the two Pfizer injections but no booster. Minor ache in injection sites with zero other symptoms. Have no intension of getting boosters. See no reason to push our luck.

My wife, youngest daughter, and I all had the two shot Moderna regimen. We all had a sore arm. With me if was worse with the first shot. With my wife and daughter it was worse with the second shot. My daughter and I both had a red rash around the injection site, but it didn't itch. None of us had any fever or anything else with either shot.

I'm supposed to get my second shot on the 31st and I hope it's nothing like the first.
