I knew it was too good to be true. UK finds the raw talent, offers, then raw talent impresses the big dogs and the big dogs take them. Wash, rinse, repeat.

This team has to win. They have to win and go to bowl games. I can't blame a kid who changes his mind to go to Bama.
If they want to run with the big dogs, they need to win games.

Bama gets what Bama wants, kind of like the Cats in basketball.

The only difference with football and the QB position in contrast to basketball, is that there is one guy that plays and 4 others that never see the field. Bama is bringing another highly touted QB in the same class and probably have other QBs on the roster as good or better than him. Mac Jones could be a star or he may get buried on the depth chart at Bama.
QB can be as much about getting an opportunity to see the field as much as it is which team you go to.

I wouldn't leave out Bama's running game. Derrick Henry ran for 2200 yards himself with a 5.6 yards per attempt.

It is not the running game that I am alluding to, it is the fact that the young man may never get on the field, because he wouldn't be able to beat out the competition.
Yes, a strong O line with a great running back means that the QB doesn't have to carry the offense. It also means that a great throwing QB may not be required and that a dual threat QB may be the ticket, because it puts even more strain on the defense than a drop back passer.
