Our recruiting is picking up which is a very good sign.
UK football commitments Russ Yeast and Michael Warren were listed in the new ESPN 300 rankings for the class of 2017 on Tuesday, along with local standout and top Wildcats recruiting target Jedrick Wills.
Wills — an offensive tackle at Lafayette High School in Lexington — is ranked No. 82 nationally and 12th at his position by ESPN, which has no other Kentucky high school players in its Top 300 rankings.
UK has already hosted Wills for several campus visits, and he also has scholarship offers from Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame and several other top programs.
Warren — a running back from Toledo, Ohio — is ranked No. 183 overall and considered the No. 20 running back in the class. In a separate article, ESPN listed him as one of the “notable new entries” in its rankings — and also warned UK fans to expect other top schools to try and steal him away from the Wildcats.
