Alex Stump is going to be a Kentucky standout.
A UK football commitment plays for the No. 1 high school team in the country, according to the new rankings from NationalHSFootball.com.
St. Edward High School — featuring future UK wide receiver Alex Stump — moved up two spots to No. 1 in the latest rankings released Monday. The Cleveland-area team also includes major UK recruiting targets Andrew and David Dowell.
Stump has four touchdown receptions so far this season for St. Edward, which is off to a 3-0 start.
UK’s other wide receiver commitment for 2015 — Jabari Greenwood — also plays for one of the nation’s best teams. Gonzaga (D.C.) is No. 15 in the NationalHSFootball.com rankings.
Male is the only Kentucky team on the list, at No. 80. The Bulldogs’ roster includes junior wide receiver Keion Wakefield, a top UK target in the class of 2016.
