Hiers is a top lineman ( number 2 center in the class) and even to be in the mix says a lot for our recruiting prowess.
Florida offensive lineman Luke Hiers said Tuesday that he will attend UK’s Blue-White Game on Saturday.
Rivals.com ranks Hiers as a four-star prospect and the No. 2 center in the nation for the class of 2015. He has been one of UK’s biggest recruiting priorities on the offensive line for next year’s class.
The 6-foot-4, 295-pound player lists UK as his favorite along with Louisville, Mississippi State and South Florida.
Hiers plays at the same Lake Wales, Fla., high school as class of 2015 defensive back Marcus Walker, who recently backed out of his commitment to Kentucky.
UK’s annual spring game is one of the program’s biggest recruiting tools, and several other top prospects are expected to be in town for the event.
