I can see that you are all torn up about it. I, for one am very sorry to hear about them testing positive, and we will be praying for their rapid healing daily. I also believe they will recover.

Norm that is the difference with the libtards I know and the conservatives I know.... some of the libtards I know are so excitedbut the conservatives didn't like Obamas but they wouldn't be cheerful if they got it.

Sorry to disappoint some but the 1st lady has a 99.9% change of full recovery and the President has a 99.0% change of full recovery.

Trump flew to the hospital for "several days". The symptoms came on very fast... usually not a good sign.
Pray for our country, and our president.

I do NOT mean this a joke or a slur against the POTUS.
The simple fact that he has not been on Twitter should tell us a lot. He is obviously very sick and I don’t care what kind of statistic’s you may quote.
I never thought I would say this but I would feel better if he was tweeting.
NOBODY in their right mind would want this to end badly for our president. IMO, that would throw our country into turmoil like our country has not seen since the civil war. [ 10-02-2020, 08:50 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

I'm afraid you under estimate our democratic colleagues. [ 10-02-2020, 09:06 PM: Message edited by: ukcatfannfl ]

I agree, hc. I would never wish illness on anyone....anyone! I hope President Trump recovers rapidly and in good health, which I have every reason to believe he will.
Who knows, maybe some good changes will come out of it?

Since we are witnessing the most corrupt, anti-American, Godless, and criminal Democratic party in history, I doubt if some of the Democratic party, especially within the leadership, feel the same as you MM.(sorry to say)

I saw a news cast that said that Obama wished him a good recovery. He also included in his note with the words, "We are all Americans".
I think that is a positive statement.

I sorta went overboard on a response so deleted it. My wife reminded me that my pulse was over 100 which tells me I gotta stop reading and replying. My apologies to all but staying off until I get better...

This is a very revealing poll.
https://morningconsult.com/form/reaction-poll-trump-covid/
quote: ‘Surprised’ and ‘worried’ best describe voters’ feelings in wake of diagnosis: However, Republicans and Democrats’ top emotions vary dramatically. Republicans report being “sad” (55 percent) and “worried” (51 percent); Democrats are “indifferent” (41 percent) and “happy” (40 percent).
Concern over first family’s health varies drastically by party: 46 percent of Democrats said they’re not concerned at all about Trump’s well-being, while 78 percent of GOP voters said they’re worried about that of the president.
Read that again, slowly. Among democrats, 41% are indifferent to Trump's COVID diagnosis, and 40% are happy.
Dear God. Is THIS what we have come too? Only 19% of democrats express any sadness over our president getting COVID? and 40% are happy about it.
MM, you can have your party. Between this, and the incessant "resistance" and hostility directed at Trump, to the gradually-revealed spying on the president's campaign, to the support for BLM and antifa riots... egads, your party has gone off the deep end. I have had enough of the smugness, the self-righteousness, the yelling and name-calling, the double-speak and outright lies from the left.
Your party leadership has labeled me a "despicable", living here in "flyover country", clinging to my bible and my guns. For the past few years, I cannot have a conversation with someone on the left; my thoughts and words are shouted down, cut-off, or I am told my words are a form of violence. Or that I am "triggering" them. Really? I seem to remember a nursery rhyme about sticks and stones and words... which one is worse? Apparently, words.
I pray for this country, but I sense a divide too deep for healing. This will not end well.

Typical Trump speak...deflect and blame others for your own, mostly self-inflicted, failures.

Are you actually accusing Tip of "deflecting and blaming others" and "self inflicted failures" and "Trump speak"?

I'm not accusing anybody of anything, Norm...just pointing out that Tip's post sounds eerily similar to something Trump would say...always demonizing somebody else while never accepting, or even acknowledging, any responsibility or involvement at all.

OK, MM. You have made this personal. So, I look forward to your follow-through.
Tell me what involvement or responsibility I have for any of the things I wrote about.
Failing at that, you can tell me what involvement or responsibility you can pin on me which I am "deflecting" or "blaming others" for?

Speaking of deflecting, once again you answer a direct challenge with nothing but questions.
It is your party of choice, unless you have changed your mind. You are free to say "Tiptree's party" in reference to the Republicans. I am willing to bet that you don't support everything the party stands for, as I hope you allow that I may not support everything my party stands for. We are thinking citizens, not robots.
However, nothing that I said is incorrect. My challenge to you still stands. If you continue to challenge and then deflect/shift/duck, well, that is on you.
