Or is this my imagination?

I watch way too much news and the majority of that is FOX news. I have been seeing more criticism and hard hitting questions out of them than in the past month than I have in the past year. It’s not coming from their token liberals either but from what I consider moderates and even a couple of hard core conservatives. In the past you never heard that except from 2 or 3 liberals.

Anybody else notice this or is it just me?

Which ones are you talking about Handy? Chris Wallace is more liberal (I think) but Hannity, Carlson and Ingram are big time conservatives. On "the five" Juan Williams is their liberal. I believe Shepard Smith has always been a liberal even though he pretends to be a conservative.

Fox does show both sides of an argument (in most cases), by their hired people or guests as the other network people show only their bias without any views/opinions from anyone not a liberal..

I don't watch fox as much as I used to, so curious as to who you are referring to.. (I don't doubt you btw)

When Rupert Murdoch retired, he turned FNC over to his sons. It started sliding to the left at that time and is still sliding. The first thing they did was to get rid of Bill O'Reilly. I knew right then that the downhill slide had started.

Fox had no choice with O'Reilly. A lot of sex scandals were surfacing, one case in particular where he paid $32 million to hush up one woman. There had to be some serious stuff going on to pay that kind of money.

ukcatfan, Sheppard Smith left quite a while back and was replaced by Bill Hemmer who seems less supportive of late. You’re right about Hannity, Carlson and Ingram. Trump could gun down dozens of people and they would say something to the effect, they deserved it.

The Five is still supportive of him with the exception of Williams who never offered praise for a conservative in my life time.

Who I specifically remember is Bill Hemmer, Neil Cavuto, Brett Baer and a couple of woman that I can not put names to the faces. One of the woman co-hosted their morning show along with Hemmer. Her co-host now (what-ever his name is) is another. I think there are others but I can’t come up with names at the moment. This is just my opinion and I may very well be off base.

I too feel FOX does a slightly better job of presenting the news without as much bias, but only marginally.

Like I said, I watch a lot of news, mainly because I have no life, especially now but not limited to only the present.😊

Norm, I had forgot that Pop retired.

Megan Kelly might have been one of the lady co-morning hosts? Didn't know that Smith had left..

I try my best to watch less and less news because of the content!

Why does no one want to talk about Mister hair sniffer and his sexual assault allegations?

Joe Biden.

FOX is talking about it as I write this. Hannity’s entire show sounds like it will be about it.

Meanwhile, CNN has late breaking news that President Trump has touted the possibility of Russian prostitutes peeing on your head as being a preventative of the Corona virus. They say that Trump’s negative test results of Covid19 is proof enough for them.

Norm there is a great difference in the news media and the democratic party on what is sexual misconduct:

for example:

Kavanaugh - had a women that had to be believed because she said so - even though her friends said they knew nothing about it. Even if it happened in high school! The news media were all over it because she should be believed..

Biden - had a women that can't be believed even though her friends said she told them and there is a video on the larry king that is the victims mother calling in talking about it..The news media and dems will say nothing about it.

Oh, okay. I read that Trump's campaign is turning away from his handling the pandemic (good move) to going after Biden, but with Trump's history with women I thought sexual assault would be the last place they'd go.

Yep. Trump's history with women is well known. Yet, Mister hair sniffer has never been heard of.

Mister hair sniffer...LOL!..that is funny!

Hey, if Biden has done something that he needs to be held accountable...then he should be held accountable...I have zero problem with that.

Does it have to be Russian prostitutes? I'm asking for a friend. [Smile]

Some of the Old Testament Bible teaching mentions needing two witnesses before making a charge to a crime. I am concerned about the sexual assault charges with just one individual making the charge. Here in Cullman several years ago a physician was charged with sexual assault by an office employee and she sued him and got an $80,000 payment. I asked one of the other employees about that situation and she said none of the other employees had seen any thing out of line from that physician. I do not know how the woman won the case.

Male doctors today won't even examine a female patient without a female assistant being with him.

With this metoo stuff a sexual assault charge can absolutely ruin you...guilty nor not, particularly if you are a person of means and/or influence.

Then again, most claims are legitimate...can be very controversial.

handy,
I knew a young man many years ago named Clarence Harris. The one I knew and his family were good friends of my wife and me. His mother was named Barbara and his aunt was Probate judge (Betty Brewer). Is that the same man?

Dr Clyde, the Clarence I knew would be in his late 70’s. About 6’ tall, big but not fat. Very gregarious. That would be wild if it was the same guy.

handy, I believe I knew a different Clarence Harris. The guy I knew was also called "Dumpy" when he was young. He is also not as old as the guy you knew. I have searched for another man by the same name and can't find one.
Handy, thank you for your service.

Thanks Dr Clyde for taking the time to do that. It would have been a heck of a coincidence for it to be the same guy.
