When the COVID-19 issue hits home, it can hit hard.
Norm already has a friend pass away from the virus. I have a former employee who worked for me for almost 15 years who is now in the ICU, on a ventilator. He has many health complications, so I don't expect him to survive. Worst thing is that we cannot attend the funeral, since those are too risky.
On a lesser note, my daughter has been working as a scribe in the ER room in Bloomington. She was exposed to a confirmed case of the virus, and has since been self-quarantining for two weeks. Now, she faces the question of whether or not to return to her apartment and get some stuff, which may again require her to self-quarantine.
It is terrible to be cooped up for weeks and weeks on end. I know many people are ignoring the orders to stay home, and I am quite sure that the rate of infection will not level off until the numbskulls finally get the message. Indianapolis is developing into a hotspot already, and the number of cases in Terre Haute is rising rapidly.

I feel for ur friends family tip - not to be able to comfort him during this hard time and then maybe not be able to attend the funeral (hope there is not one) is trying indeed!

Millie and I just now sort of attended a Mass and rosary for Helen. Their church streamed it live on Facebook. Strangely, I feel like I have been to Mass for the first time in almost 4 weeks.

Sorry to hear about your friend Tip. Hope things turn out ok for your daughter.
There is more to this pandemic than us just being bored and frustrated.

Norm, I too have been “attending” church through the internet. If any thing good has come from this virus for me, it’s the opportunity to worship with family and friends in Western Kentucky via Facebook.
