Politics as usual in Washington. I would much preferred that Tillison remain as Sec of State but Trump should be able to appoint who ever he wants within reason. With the exception of Rand Paul and a democrat senator from W Virginia, it appears it will may a party line vote. He's without a doubt qualified so in my mind there should be no question.
By the way, when are my Ky family and friends going to vote Paul out? I believe ole Randy will do what ever, including voting against Pompeo, to get the political spot light on himself. My theory is he wants to get on TV to show off his hair doo

I for one, do not understand this 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'. I honestly believe that if he came up with a cure for every disease, addiction, Autism, Down's Syndrome, you name it, The democrats and establishment politicians would vote against it. Yes, he is an asshole, crude, self centered and all the things most politicians are, but I still think he is doing a pretty danged good job, and I'd vote for him again.

And I honestly believe if he caused "every disease, addiction, Autism, Down's Syndrome, you name it," there still would be those who support him.

Well put Norm, I could not have said it better myself. There is no doubt he is a pompous A Hole but there is also no doubt that he is trying to get some of our country's pride and prestige back once again. Even the republicans are doing very little to help him achieve things. I seriously doubt he will have his entire government in place during his 4 years in the office at the rate the senate is doing confirmation hearings. I have never seen the media try to poison the minds of their viewers against any president in my long lifetime like they do Trump. There is little to no doubt in my mind that they are trying to bring him down, one way or another.
