Well I went to the Ortho clinic this morning because I was pretty sure I ruptured my left Achilles tendon playing basketball on Saturday afternoon.

The nurse practitioner that saw me has the same opinion. I have an MRI on Wednesday and see the Surgeon on Monday.

Boo.....I think my playing days are over at 46 years and 9 months. It was a good ride.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Based on the title, I thought this post was gonna be about your teeth. [Smile]

You lasted a lot longer than me, Trey. I'm somewhat of a fit person, but my knees stopped working normally many years ago. But it sounds like you've earned a nice "retirement".

Ha Ha. I wish. I could make a post about that as well. Both of my kids have braces at a moment. What a racket that is these days. I can't believe what it cost. I was in sticker shock to say the least.

I think I jinxed myself before the game. I told the guys that I play with in the YMCA Men's league that I was thinking this was going to be my last Championship game, just because I've been too stubborn to slow down.

Well needless to say, two minutes into the Championship game, down I go trying to stay in front of a 28 year old guy, who played D1 at Gardner Webb. Stupid to say the least.

It is. Jake played there through his Sophomore year. He was a dual athlete for them and he quit playing basketball and focused on track only his last two years. I think he graduated in 2008

I guess Jake is probably more like 31 or 32. Time flies.

Rick Struggs is his name as I remember. Really nice guy - he said at halftime of the game at Rupp he knew that his team was better than Ky.

So they played not scared but throttle down and it was their best win ever...

He said he was surprised how bad ky was.

Says a lot about Billy doesnt it!!

Jake in his 3-'s my girls in their 40's. Where do the time go! [Confused]

Ouch. Sorry to hear that, Trey. But, like Ed says, you can still get back on the court. Just have to know your limits.

What you really needed was me behind you to erase his shot at the rim (dreaming!). No need to struggle to stay in front of your man with a good big backing you up.

I'm 58 and still playing. For years, bad ankles kept me on the sidelines too much. But the past five years or so have been remarkably injury-free. Just find a different game than at the Y... on you can dominate. [Smile]

My youngest (of six) will be 49 three days from now. They were born in 59, 60, 62, 63, 64 and 69. Yes, we had five pre-schoolers. Millie was a heroine. When one of our granddaughters or nieces start on how hard it is having two little ones, I laugh out loud at them. Millie just smiles.
