I thought of you last night. My kids came over and we made the mistake of talking politics. I knew my daughter was liberal but I really had no idea to what extent. She is a very bright and educated women but some of her beliefs and ideas were downright scary. I thought I handled it pretty well until she noticed the blood trickling from the corner of my mouth and asked " are you biting your tongue again?" I know some on here think I'm too liberal but believe me you have no idea.

I know exactly how you feel. I weep over 50% of our six children, and 8 of our 17 grandchildren! I feel like a failure some of the time, but place most of the blame on the professors at Murray State.

That's disturbing about Murray St., Norm. That's where my granddaughter is probably going next year. She spent last summer there as part of the Governor's Scholars Program. She will be in the honors program and hopes to major in pre-med which Murray supposedly has a very good program. She loved everything about the whole Murray experience.

She is currently an active member of her high school's "Young Republican's Club" and has very strong conservative values from both sides of her family.

She has a good head on her shoulders and is not afraid to stand up for her beliefs.

Hopefully she will not back down to any liberal bullies that she will encounter.

I do have a 39 year old granddaughter that graduated from there, and she held tight to her beliefs and is a strong conservative. She was in accounting though, where her aunt and uncles were journalism, teaching and electrical engineering. Business professors tend to be much more conservative than them. Especially journalism and education.
