The Herald-Leader announced its 2014 Kentucky Sportsman of the Year last night and the award went to AJ Reed, the best to ever do it for Kentucky baseball.
Reed swept all five national player of the year awards after becoming the first player in the history of the SEC to lead the conference in home runs and pitching victories. He received 81 first place votes from the 150 Sportsman of the Year ballots across the state (I voted Aaron Harrison first, Reed second) and earned the largest margin of victory in the 34-year history of the award.
Congrats to AJ on the honor.
And to whoever gave Bobby Petrino a first place vote, GTFO. (Someone really did that.)

AJ was the best player we have had in many years and doubt we can replace him for a long time. He was special as a pitcher and a hitter.
