I think the bad habits on defense of Dillingham, Reeves, and Wagner have rubbed off on the rest of the team. I am pretty sure this is the worst team that I have ever seen at any level of basketball at understanding defensive positioning and how to guard the ball. They can’t keep a decent offensive team below 90
I don’t think it would matter if this team played zone or man. Just too many players that don’t want to get down and defend. I am not sure it can be fixed with the roster make up. We will see what Cal can come up with over the next 4 weeks. [ 02-03-2024, 10:49 PM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Unfortunately, you are right. Also, we know the coaches won't have an answer to what other teams do. I would like us to at least try some different defenses. It sure couldn't hurt, and it might at least help a little bit. It can keep teams off balance and not let them get so comfortable.

I get what you are saying but they are so bad on defense 1-10 that I am not sure UK players could handle switching. Man to man defense is the easiest to play and understand how to help and they can’t even do that.

WE have taken a step backwards on defense, IMO. Cannot really explain why, but we did better early in the year against all offenses. Our defensive communications were better, our switches were better, our anticpiation on passes was better.
Now... wow. Just awful.
