Yeah, as fate would have it we get matched with the team that one of our players transfers to and had a great season. Just a matter of fate you say I think we got a pretty good draw. We get Providence who we should beat if we can ever find our shot. Then most likely Kansas St. This would put us in the sweet 16. Then we play most likely Mich St. or Marquette to get to the round of 8. If a miracle would happen 3 times and we make it this far our luck would probably run out and we would have another one of thos great shootong night shooting about 35%. Turn out the lights and move on to football.

I think Marquette would run us out of the gym. But we'll be lucky to get that far.

I don't think there's any way that we make a run in the tournament. This is the most inconsistent team that I can remember.

Unfortunately, I think we lose to Providence. Cooley is a pretty good coach and will have a game plan for us. Cal will, of course, not have a game plan and will just roll the ball out and have us play. If we shoot lights out, we win, but if it comes down to grinding out a win, and figuring out different things to do to get us the win, we are done. I have absolutely no confidence in Cal's coaching, and I have no idea what we'll get out of the players.

That just about wraps it up in a nutshell. This team can go down in infamy as "The Undependables"

While I would welcome a pleasant surprise, I could see us losing to Providence. Or, if we manage to get the win, losing to Kansas State. In fact, I don't have confidence that we can beat ANY team in the tournament.
Surpise me, Cats. Play up to your potential, go full-out, hit your shots. And win despite Cal.

I'm sure their fate will not end well, but they could not have asked for a better draw in my opinion. The bottom half of the East bracket is fairly weak.
And having Purdue as the #1 is the weakest of all the #1 Seeds in my opinion.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I agree this is the easiest bracket to put us in for maybe a 3 game winning streak before the season ends. But........... as I have said here many times, if we make our shots we win and if we miss them we lose. Let's hope we can make them for at least 3 wins before some of these guys call it quits.

I hope we beat providence for Cal's sake. If he thinks last off-season was bad after losing to St. Peter's. It will be disastrous to lose to Bryce Hopkins.

Maybe that could be the deciding factor that makes his mind up for him, stay or go?
