I’m struggling fellers.
Here I sit with a tin cup now half full of Bourbon wondering why I choose to care.
Like many fans I used to live for games. I endured the scandals and probation.
The Pitino highs and Gillespie lows.
I was super excited for Cal and was all in early, but the last few years have brought on a strain for me, as it has for many.
I’m older now. Should be wiser but that is debatable.
I struggle to care, and when I do it seems that suffering ensues.
I cried at Kunsan AB Korea in 1992 when Laettner drove a dagger in my heart.
Tonight I watched a movie with my granddaughter that would have cut into the beginning of the game had it started as scheduled.
I regret not watching another with her. The fun is gone.
I used to wonder what it was like to be a fan of a middle of the road team. I guess I’m finding that out now. Turns out I don’t like it.
It could be the Elijah Craig talking but I don’t think so.

BCD,

I played Dominoes with the family instead of watching. I have no interest in watching them play.

They have become IU basketball, which means they can bear the low tier teams, but UK has no chance against quality teams.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

My wife and I went to the movies. I used to never miss a game, but I knew we would lose. 5 and 13 against ranked teams in our last 18 games. Now I know how Alabama and Auburn used to feel. I guess this year we're not a basketball or football school.

There are a lot of good players on this team, but the coach has them playing street ball. It's like watching pickup games at the local park. It's funny that UCLA ran plays to get Wheeler to have to guard their best player, yet we just dribble the ball hoping the other team falls asleep. We do nothing to get the most out of Oscar. We do nothing to get good open looks for our shooters. Our best offense happens when we get an offensive rebound and can catch the defense off guard.

Cal needs to go.

Cal is 67 and 46 versus ranked opponents as head coach of Kentucky, 59%. Mediocre at best. I dare anyone to say that he's a good coach.

It's sad to see so many diehard fans lose interest. I am closing in on that, but I still get sucked in. I root for UK, but I literally cannot stand Cal. Have never been a fan and never will. I would take Jay Wright, Rick Barnes, Tony Bennett, Tom izzo, Tommy Loyd, mussleman, and probably several others over Cal in a heartbeat. We may not get the top class evey other year, but we would be able to see a team actually play to their potential and probably have a truly better chance to win #9. I just hate watching talent play so far beneath their ability, and that's what Cal does. He takes shooters and makes them become mediocre shooters. So tired of him and can't wait to see him go.
