Well, well well! Isn't that another nice thing that Coach Cal has managed to do in just bout a dozen years here at UK? I just read where Kansas is now the lifetime NCAA Wins leader, passing the floundering UK BB team. I knew it was getting close but I forgot all about it with all the other great things happening. This just adds to that long streak of games with making at least one 3 pointer in a game. I think we broke that last year. Nobody probably cares about either record right now. But one of us old, old, old guys does. We were so far ahead at one time but several seasons under Cal has wiped out all of that margin. He probably doesn't even realize this has happened, and could care less. Just give me someone who can make the first 14 spots in the draft and I'm satisfied. He could care less about what the fans want.

I was devastated when the 3-point streak ended. I was so mad at Cal for that. There's no way that a college basketball team at any level should go an entire game without making one 3-pointer.
Remember how when Cal took over the saying was that "he gets it"? In hindsight, I really don't believe he gets it. I don't think he has the first clue as to what UK basketball is all about.

I care about those wins, that's for sure. I do remember all the "he gets it" stuff. At first I thought he did get it in regards to the pressure, media, and handling all of that. But he definitely does not get the fans, and what we want. He probably knows about the wins but he would never promote that since he knew we were losing it under his watch. He sure promoted it when we were the first to 2,000 wins. He just doesn't have much to promote anymore other than first round picks, but even that is taking a big hit lately.

You don't think when we were the first team to 2000 that he didn't get it? we threw a celebration the night we did it!
How many years did it take us to finally get that record away from UNC?
