Please, let me take a moment to tell the NBA to get off my lawn.

Over the last decade the NBA has transformed the way basketball is played at every level. Superstars are quick to bounce from one team to the next while relying more and more on the three-point shot. The trickle-down effect is evident as three-point attempts and entries into the transfer portal rise.

Those developments have caused some to take caution. They are significant, but they are not “ruining” basketball. Basketball as we know it is being destroyed by something else during these NBA Playoffs, the uniforms.

Since the dawn of basketball the home team has worn white uniforms, while the visitors rock dark team colors as they travel. It’s applicable to every sport except football, where the home team wears the dark school color and the visitors resort to white (excluding the Cowboys and LSU Tigers who loathe style by never wearing their beautiful blues and purples).

The NBA has defied norms this postseason. Instead of being an exception to the rule, almost every home team now wheres a dark uniform, forcing the road team to wear light whites. It’s disgusting.

Does Devin Booker look good in the black Valley jerseys? Sure, but he’s spitting in the face of tradition. Did Kevin Durant play incredible in game seven for the Brooklyn Nets? Yes, but he might’ve won if he did not anger the basketball gods by wearing a black uniform at home.

New uniforms are cool and a nice change of pace. This is not a change of pace. It’s becoming the norm and there’s no place for it in basketball. Home teams wear white and the visitors wear dark colors. That’s the way basketball should be played.

Pardon the interruption, but Mister Roush needs to learn to spell. Especially the word "wears".

Some NBA teams have adopted some pretty ugly uniforms lately, but who wears light versus dark is not one of the NBA's major issues. Bottom line: free agency has killed all major sports, somewhat less in NFL (so far). But baseball and especially the NBA have been destroyed by it. The reason I don't rank LeBron anywhere near MJ - LeBron got most of his titles when he formed with a "superteam". Th NBA is a joke.
