The Kentucky Wildcats’ disaster of a 2020-21 season could in many ways be attributed to poor play from the point guard position.

With the position still a question mark heading into the 2021-2022 season, Kentucky has extended an offer to four-star point guard TyTy Washington, who may be could fill that void for John Calipari and company next season.

Washington is ranked as the fourth-best point guard in the nation for 2021 and the 31st overall player per 247 Sports. In addition to Kentucky, Washington also scored an offer from the national champion Baylor Bears today.

The Arizona native had been committed to Creighton but decommitted from the Bluejays on March 11. Washington also holds offers from Kansas, Arizona State, Auburn, Creighton, LSU, New Mexico, Ole Miss, Santa Barbara, San Diego State, USC, and Washington State, among others.

So far, Kentucky’s depth at point guard next season includes incoming four-star signee Nolan Hickman, and potentially Davion Mintz, who may return for a sixth-year of college basketball next season.

............and what about Kellen Grady who is classified as a PG by many and a CG by some. He is a scorer who can shoot the ball as welol as distribute it. He is going to be a 5th year player and could be in the starting lineup for UK, at either the PG or SG.

Here is some more info on Kellan Grady:

A 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Boston, Grady earned first-team All-Atlantic 10 honors as a sophomore and senior and second-team honors as a freshman and junior. He averaged 17.1 points and 4.6 rebounds this season, shooting 38.2% from 3-point range.

He also surpassed the 2,000-point mark for his Davidson career in the Wildcats' season-ending NIT loss to NC State.

"Kellan has established himself as one of the best players in the country," Calipari said. "His size, his skills, his scoring ability and his playmaking ability speak volumes to the player that he is. Kellan played in a great program under a terrific coach, Bob McKillop. He is a four-year starter whose toughness and fight will add to our team. His game-to-game consistency -- his scoring, his ability to share the ball and his defense -- is part of what makes him special, and we are ecstatic to have him join a team that was close last season but needed what he gives us to get over to the top."
