Kentucky freshman forward Isaiah Jackson has been playing his best basketball of the season over the last two weeks.
During the Wildcats' current 3-game win streak, Jackson is averaging 16.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks while shooting 60.9 percent from the floor and making 21 of 26 free throws (80.8 percent).
Jackson's recent uptick hasn't gone unnoticed.
In 247Sports' Updated 2021 NBA Draft Big Board released Thursday, Jackson jumped seven spots from No. 18 to firmly in the lottery at No. 11. The 2020 NBA Draft snapped John Calipari's 10-year streak of producing at least one lottery pick. Could he be ready to start another streak with Jackson?
247Sports national recruiting analyst Travis Branham says Jackson's stock begins with the raw physical materials he has to work with.
"The physical tools are obviously very evident: 6-10, 7-5 wingspan, elite athlete who is very quick and bouncy off the floor," Branham told CatsPause.com. "Love his motor, love the energy he plays with."
Jackson, who has been limited by foul trouble for much of the season, is averaging 8.0 points and 6.9 rebounds. He also ranks first in the SEC and 10th nationally in blocks per game with 2.7. Jackson's advanced statistics are even better. He ranks first on the team among rotation players in both offensive (111) and defensive (90.7) rating. Jackson's rebound percentage of 17.9 and block percentage of 13.2 is off the charts.
