“Every college basketball player should watch these G League games so they can see all the former CBB stars still searching for opportunities at the next level,” Medcalf said. “I’m all for players having the freedom to turn pro whenever they want to leave. But they have to be ready for the grind.”

Former Kentucky forward Kyle Wiltjer, who played one year in the NBA and G League before taking his talents overseas to play professionally, agreed with Medcalf’s assessment.

“Preach! And it’s not so sweet overseas,” Wiltjer responded. “Lot of talent across the waters as well.”

If you look at the LINK in this article you'll see about 7 former UK players who are finding out maybe it would have been better to stay in school instead of being out there fighting for a spot less than the NBA?
