Those three finally found their groove.

Sarr dropped 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. THAT's the kind of numbers we need from him.

Askew played excellent defense and ran the offense very well, even scored opportunistically. With Askew and Mintz in together, we are a much better team.

But the star of the game, made possible by the above two, is Allen. 23 points, with 7-11 from the arc. Calipari cannot ignore him any longer. The Kentucky boy earned plenty of PT going forward, if not a start.

Personally, I would start Sarr, Ware or Jackson (probably Jackson, but Ware impresses me), and a backcourt of Askew, Mintz, and Allen.

Boston should be nothing more than a sub until he learns to shoot. Clarke the same. I wouldn't doubt that they both transfer next year anyway.

Well said, Tip. I was really down on Askew after the first four or five games but he has really started turning it around. Initially, he added no value to this team but that has changed.

It still kills me that Sarr spends half his minutes floating around the 3-point line. And taking jump shots with your foot on the 3-point line makes me want to explode, especially when it's the 7-foot center doing it! Sarr should be within ten feet of the basket at all times on offense.

Allen averaged 46 points per game in high school and I still think Cal believed he'd be just like the walk-ons. Allen should be getting 30 minutes a game while Boston rides the pine. But I think we all know that still isn't going to happen.

Finally something to cheer about. Cal's got some explaining to do. The players looked so much more relaxed when cal got ejected.

Some of our best games have been when Cal has got ejected. I do believe his constant screaming and yelling does not help at all. I would like to see us start Askew, Boston/Clarke, Allen, Ware, Sarr next game. I have Boston or Clarke still starting because I am holding out hope they could live up to the hype. If not, then get Mintz in and give him their minutes. Plus I think they could play well with Allen. Kick out to Allen for open 3's, and Allen could open up the floor for clean drives. Having those two, Jackson, and Toppin off the bench gives us some possible depth.
