It'll be interesting to see how much (or less) we improve by the end of the season. Here are some rankings for this team so far this year. What's sad is that these horrible rankings involve all of the shooting categories. There are 327 D-1 men's basketball teams.
Stat, rank and value:
- 3FG% - 321 - 25%
- 3FG/game - 320 - 4.3
- Assist/Turnover - 303 - 0.68
- Assist/game - 296 - 10.7
- Scoring - 287 - 64.9 ppg
- Turnover/game - 263 - 15.9
- FG% - 258 - 41.44%
- FT% - 246 - 66.18%
Here's a great page for looking at all kinds of stats - <link>

Oooh, that stinks.
Instead of looking where we end up with that dead-weight dragging our averages down, I would love to see our stats for the last seven games and compare them with the first seven games.
That might be a better barometer of how far this team develops. [ 12-30-2020, 12:23 AM: Message edited by: Tiptree ]

I can't help but wonder just how much of this crap is due to the loss of Kenny Payne.

Good point, Norm. He seemed to be the real point-of-connection with the players. They respected him, and listened to him.
The new guy has a whole different vibe, and he wasn't involved in recruiting these kids. The "fit" probably isn't right, and is hindering their development.
