Brey said, “Kentucky is younger and growing and I look at the NBA draft projections and two of their starters are in the top 10 and I believe Sarr will be a first-round pick, so it’s not like they’re hurting for talent.”
Brey has good reason to think Sarr will be a first-round pick. After all, Sarr’s 30-point, 17-rebound performance against Brey’s Irish last season is a big reason he landed on John Calipari’s radar in the first place.
“We did a good job against him at home last year, but my god did we make him a first-round draft pick in Winston Salem,” Brey responded to a question about seeing Sarr again. “I had a couple of clips on the scout tape of him today of him wheeling and dealing on us, and you can’t really guard him with one guy… we have to get some help off the perimeter and jam it up a little bit.
“But I’m very impressed with him. He’s a beautiful basketball player. He’s a bit of a ballet dancer at 7-feet. Hands and footwork and balance. There’s just not a lot of big bodies like that that move that smoothly.”
With what he’s seen firsthand from Sarr and the rest of the young potential on UK’s roster, Brey believes it’s only a matter of time.
“I understand they’re 1-3 but I also understand they have three first-round picks,” he said. “The light bulb is going to go on. They have a heck of a coach, so the light bulb is going to go on.”

Brey is thanking his lucky stars that he gets us now, when we are just a train-wreck. Maybe we can get a rematch in the post season.

It might be a good matchup in the CBI Tournament.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

If we don't improve on our turn-overs it could be a long afternoon however if we do improve and we make baskets we have a very good chance of beating ND. ESPN’s matchup predictor gives Kentucky a 59.5% chance of victory. KenPom gives Kentucky a 77% chance of winning.
