Western Kentucky has called out the Kentucky Wildcats for a second time.
After daring UK to add WKU to its nonconference schedule back in July, the Hilltoppers have doubled down on their interest in taking on the Wildcats, offering to play in Lexington next week.
“We know you all are going to work to reschedule your game, but if you end up wanting/needing a game at your place next week, we’re free all week!” the official Western Kentucky men’s basketball account wrote on Twitter. “Give us a call and stay safe!
The offer comes after Kentucky’s matchup against Detroit Mercy was postponed for a second time this afternoon due to “concerns with COVID-19 protocols and calendar logistics.” The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 27 in the Bluegrass Showcase and then rescheduled to Dec. 15.
